Stanley Scott Hoffman, age 55, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 13th while skiing in Boise, ID. Stan resided in Issaquah, Washington since 1994 with his family and he was employed as an Account Manager at FM Global for the past 16 years. Stan lost his wife Vicki tragically in 2013 and is survived by his daughter Ashley (college senior) and his son Kyle (high school sophomore).
Stan was a quiet, very thoughtful person with deep friendships with a willingness to always help out a friend, colleague, or family member. One of his greatest loves was for the outdoors and mountain climbing. For the past 18 years, he loved his annual climbing trips in the Pacific Northwest accompanied by a close group of friends and family members, summiting Mount Rainier, Mount Logan, Mount Olympus, Mount Stuart, and various other mountains.
In Stan’s memory, we are looking to secure the future for his children, who are experiencing the tragic loss of both parents. Our goal is to raise money to help Ashley & Kyle complete their college educations and reach their own goals in life. Ashley is close to completing her undergraduate degree, and her plan is to continue with graduate school. For Kyle, we are securing funds for his plan to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees.
We have set up this GoFundMe donation site and are asking the family, friends, and community for their support in this endeavor. All proceeds will go directly to a managed account to be used entirely for Ashley & Kyle’s college educations.
