Hello! I never thought in my life that I would be sitting here writing this out, but life’s full of unexpected tragedy. In November, I received news that My father in Morocco was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pulmonary Lymphangitic Carcinomatosis (PLC). PLC is a kind of metastatic cancer with a high mortality rate if not treated immediately. Unlike, in the U.S. all Moroccan cancer facilities require an upfront payment before the start of any kind of treatments. My family and I are saving up all that we can, but if my father doesn’t get the money raised for treatment by a certain time, it will be too late for him. My brothers and I did not have the luxury, that many people take for granted, to grow up with my father. It pains me that we will only ever have the memory of him with cancer. We normally would never ask for money, but at this point we want to try everything possible to get my father the best treatment there is.
