Stage 4 Cancer (Cervical), Single Mom
Hello, my name is Andrea. I was put in remission after beating stage 4 cervical cancer in April. 6 months later, it has returned. My amazing doctors have come up with a plan... a combination of 2 drugs for chemo, targeted checkpoint inhibitor, and immunotherapy. I will be receiving this over a course of about 5 months following up to 2 years of maintenance.
The word “cancer” is scary. As a parent you think “I can’t leave my kids. I need to stay alive.”
I’m depending on science to cure me. I’m keeping my faith in God to help get me through this next storm to come out cancer free - for GOOD. And although I am scared to go through treatment again, feeling weak and tired, this time losing my hair... I’m remaining positive because I have to.
My doctor advised me to sign up for permanent disability and she even suggested I make a Go Fund Me page in order to assist me financially during this time so all of my energy can go towards beating this cancer. Feeling like a charity is not what I want, or ever imagined myself feeling in my life. This is not easy, but the reality of all this is, what I want for my life will be on pause for more than a couple of years while I take on this fight, and at the same time, me and my kids still need a home, food to eat, along with everyday necessities.
So now I’m reaching out... If you can share my page with others, it will be greatly appreciated, and I will be forever grateful for the support.
