Save My Mother's Wedding!

My mom is getting married for the first time in less than two weeks. She's a woman that loves simplicity, and immediately fell in love with the idea of hosting her own wedding in our backyard. Instead of spending crazy amounts of money on a venue that is ours for only a few hours, she wanted to make a beautiful backyard worthy of hosting a wedding that could then be kept and enjoyed for much longer.

For months my family has been doing yard work with our spare time in preparation for the big day. My stepfather works in the mason and landscaping supply industry, and there was a landscaper that owed him a large monetary favor. In order to clear this debt the landscaper agreed to help for the wedding by grading the yard, installing a sprinkler system, and taking care of LOTS of flowers and plants that were to surround the entire yard and set the perfect environment for a wedding. Unfortunately, as we near the wedding date the landscaper has not returned a call in two weeks. At this point my mom is planning on filling the flower beds with sod or mulch, as we cannot afford the original plan without the landscaper clearing his debt. My heart breaks thinking about my mom having her wedding in a naked yard and her day being anything less than magical.

This page is not an attempt to slam any business, as anyone involved will remain nameless. I am simply trying to rectify the situation for my mother, and ensure that she gets to experience the perfect day that she deserves. I owe this woman the world, so attempting to fix her special day is the least that I can do.
