Hi,
My name is Leigh and I have three boys, all of whom did, or still do, attend Rutlish/RR6.
Two years ago, my two eldest sat their A levels and GCSEs respectively. It quickly became apparent, through all the afternoon, Saturday and holiday revision sessions laid on, how much extra effort the teachers were putting in over a period of months to help the students all get their best possible outcomes.
Note that Rutlish is one of the few, if not the only, state schools in our area to offer such extensive revision classes like these.
So - with donations from parents we organised a thank you breakfast for all the teaching and support staff (~ 85-90 people).
We received many appreciative comments afterwards and if you are on Classlist, there should still be photos to view from July 2023.
I now have my second and third boys doing A Levels/GCSEs and hence would like to do the same again this year.
So - if you are a like-minded parent of a student in either Y11 or Y13 and would like to contribute a small amount to help support this, please see the link below. I’ve set the goal at £400, which is around what was spent last time. Any amount would be gratefully received.
Nb If we should raise more then we need, any extra will be donated to the PTA.
The date for the breakfast is Friday July 4 - so it would be helpful if donations could be made by the end of June.
Thanks for reading and wishing all of your children the very best of luck in their exams.
