Stacy’s Hip Replacement Surgery
In early 2020, Stacy started experiencing problems with her hip. After a year of exhausting all means of conservative treatment, she decided to seek out answers by way of an MRI. That was when she received the devastating diagnosis of Avascular Necrosis of the femoral head. It is a type of osteonecrosis due to disruption of blood supply to the proximal femur. Avascular necrosis is the death of bone tissue due to a lack of blood supply. Also called osteonecrosis, it can lead to tiny breaks in the bone and the bone's eventual collapse.
Stacy was told that her case is already in the advanced stages and that a hip replacement is the only option and that time was not on her side, as the femoral head could collapse at any time.
Now, on top of dealing with debilitating pain that has severely altered her quality of life as a 32 year old, she also has to find a way to cover the astronomical out of pocket costs for this surgery.
The price tag, even with insurance, is mind-blowing.
As people who love her, helping to ease any of this financial burden would be amazing.
Stacy is one of the most selfless people I know. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it and she is not one that will allow people to help her…
But this is bigger than that.
So I’m asking for help to relieve some of this financial burden so that she can focus on her health. Any help is appreciated.
There is also a Venmo account set up that you can send money to directly if you do not want to have the fee come out of your donation.
Thank you so much for your support for Stacy!!
