NAWS is a 501c3 No-Kill humane society that prides itself on pulling pets from high-kill facilities, particularly seniors and those with medical needs, those that most groups will not try to save. We pull an extremely high number of heartworm positive dogs and treat them prior to placing into loving homes. We also take in hospice and close to end of life pets and place them into loving foster homes to live out their remaining time in safety and comfort surrounded by what is probably the only love most of them have ever known or received.
