Support for my Daughter Stacy

About Me:

I have an important request to ask from friends and family. In her own words, my daughter Stacy:

My name is Stacy, I am the proud daughter of Rob and Deb Ulibarri and granddaughter of Frank Ames Sr., Ruth Jackson-Ames, Louis B. Ulibarri, Mary Romero-Tarin and Lonnie Tarin.  I am of Hoopa, Yurok, Navajo and hispanic decent.

I am 38 years old, I suffer from Stage 4 Intestinal Endometriosis (diagnosed at 25 years old), and underwent a total of 12 surgeries. Endometriosis has  altered my life drastically, I became permanently disabled and currently I am wheelchair dependent. Since Endometriosis has spread to my large intestine, I developed bowel issues and I lost 75lbs within a year for it became difficult to eat. I can only digest soft foods and drink liquids. My body rapidly deteriorated, lost major muscle mass, and developed neurological pain.

Ten surgeries later, my former local OB/GYN informed me that they can no longer treat me in the Humboldt County area because my condition is more complex than they had originally thought. Therefore, I underwent 2 surgeries in the Bay Area from an Endometriosis Specialist. I have not had any follow up care due to my alternate medical coverage denials

I strongly rely on my family more than I ever. For those of you who know me, I am very independent, and it is hard for me to ask for help, as I usually help others!
I have tried so hard to smile and stay strong through the pain and to hold onto the sheer determination to never let Endometriosis beat me. However, the fight is becoming increasingly difficult in so many ways.

About Endometriosis:

Endometriosis is an estrogen dominant immune disease.
1 in 10 women have Endometriosis and the chance of infertility is 30 – 40% higher as the disease progresses. In my research, Endometriosis is one of the most aggressive benign diseases, and is compared to feeling how an advanced Cancer sufferer feels.

What you can do to help:

I respectfully need your help; no amount is too small. If you cannot help financially, please share my page and spread awareness about Endometriosis. You prayers are also appreciated.

Currently, I must undergo extensive testing and it is likely that I will have another surgery. I live six hours away from the Bay Area where I receive medical care and estimate that I will have to travel back and forth approximately 6 times. All funds will assist me with travel costs.
