Stacy Killinger Kicks Cancer!

Donation protected
Stacy has spent the majority of her life kicking butt and taking names. From rearing and raising four children, to going back to school for a career change, to caregiving and motivation-providing for everyone she came in contact with.... she has always been a true warrior!

She has touched so many lives with comfort, nurturing, kindness and support. She's the definition of a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. She is a devoted daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend.

The news of her cancer diagnosis turned her family's world upside-down. After a lot of anxiety, fear, and questions through the holidays this year, her doctor told us the plan.

On December 30th, she underwent extensive surgery. Ultimately, she had more removed than anticipated in order to completely rid her body of any visible tumors.

Following her surgery, she had to spend 8 days in the hospital, and her surgery recovery will take approvimately 5 weeks. After recovery, she will face decisions about further cancer treatment.

The funds raised from this page will go towards hospital bills from the surgery and recovery, medication, time lost from work, and the expenses that come from post-recovery cancer treatments.

Any amount contributed will help alleviate the stress of this huge financial burden, which will ultimately help ease the road to recovery for my mom. In addition to financial contributions, our family would appreciate positive vibes and prayers. Kind words and support sent to my mother also lift her spirits, so if you have her number or e-mail address, reach out!

Anyone who knows my mom and dad know that they are loving and supportive. They want to provide for other people, and they happily take on the  pillar-of-support role for anyone who needs it. You also probably know that they hate the idea of inconveniencing anyone, or of being a burden. My parents would positively hate the idea of asking for financial help. (That's why they didn't... I did. Hopefully they aren't mad for too long!) I have an idea of what would take the edge off of finding out about this campaign, that we have begun in secret... I would love if, when making a donation, you can include a note about "what you are paying for." (...For example, I probably owe my mom a zillion dollars for free haircuts throughout my entire life. Maybe you lived with my parents while you weren't getting along with your own family... or my mom drove you to softball practive because your mom worked... or my dad offerd you a Slim Jim... or you just want to help out a great lady...) I think they would get a kick out of seeing the small ways that they have impacted other people, and it would help them understand why people want to help them.
