This September my cousin Stacy Shedeed Dewolfe was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma cancer. His
cancer started in his neck and throat area and then it spread to his lungs . Stacy began chemotherapy immediately and has been having weekly infusions all winter long as well as some trips to Sioux Falls for biopsies etc. Two weeks ago the doctors decided that the chemotherapy wasn't doing what they wanted it to and it was time to switch to radiation, so now he has daily radiation treatments at Rapid City cancer care center. They are also trying a new cancer drug called Keytruda. Throughout all of his ordeal he has still managed to continue working at his job in Pineridge, he has tried to keep life as normal as possible but as you can imagine having to drive to Rapid City every single day and only being able to work part time now has taken it's toll financially. Stacy is a wonderful husband and father, he and Debbie have been married for 25 years and He has five beautiful children and adorable twin granddaughters , he has all of their support and love and Debbie has done a wonderful job of taking care of him. They have been hit with one thing after another, last week their youngest child Natalia had to have an emergency appendectomy and then developed an infection. She was in the hospital for a week. The day that they dismissed her they ended up admitting Stacy for complications due to pneumonia. He is currently in the hospital in Rapid City undergoing some tests but hopes to be out soon. Stacy's family is a rodeo family and I know that the rodeo family steps up and takes care of their own when necessary, well folks that's what we need right now , we need everyone to step forward and help Stacy and his family out in their time of need . The doctors are working hard to get his cancer to go into remission so his life can go back to normal. We also ask for as many prayers as we can get , God is good and we pray that he will lay his healing hands on Stacy.
