Stacy and Hugh

It is with a heavy heart that I’m writing to share with all of you an update on Stacy’s horse Hugh

The big, sweet bay gelding arrived into Stacy’s life less than a year ago, fulfilling her dream of finally having a horse of her own. Her search for the perfect equine partner spanned many years, multiple states and nerve wracking ups and downs. All of us lucky enough to know and love Stacy have been rooting for her all along the way

A few months ago, when she felt something was wrong with Hugh she sought help from her vet, eventually taking him to Alamo Pintado, where he was given a devastating neurologic diagnosis. He is not safe to ride and will not recover. She has chosen not to euthanize but instead to let him retire at a beautiful sanctuary in South Carolina and to live out his life with friends and love

So many of you have asked me how we can help so I thought I’d put together a fundraiser to go towards the $3800 shipping expense to move Hugh to SC

He left early Friday morning and arrived safely in SC on Monday.

Stacy is unaware that this fundraiser is happening and I'm hoping it eases the pain by letting her feel the love and support of our community
