Stacie Willis Continues Her Cancer Journey

UPDATE:
Life...
It is amazing. 
And then it's awful.
And then it's amazing again.
And in between the amazing and awful, it's ordinary and mundane and routine.
Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary.


This could not be more true for how life is currently going. The last two weeks have had plenty of ups and downs, but life will go on and we have so much to be thankful for. Another treatment down and six to go! Stacie is still handling it all with so much grace. She continues to push and fight without a single complaint. I'm for one thankful for this badass, strong, incredibly beautiful wife of mine - Doesn't she look amazing with her new hair-do by the way?! 


We're looking forward to a relaxing day with some family, and hoping the same for all of you!



 An open letter from Cody Willis:

Dear friends and family,

2020 has given us our highest of highs and lowest lows.  On September 25th, we pledged our love to each other in front of friends and family! We are so thankful to have been surrounded by such an amazing tribe as we step into a new and unknown chapter in our lives.

Today (and every day going forward), we celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness. There are countless reasons why. For one, we recognize all the brave and strong individuals out there who have battled, or are currently battling this devastating illness. But today, we have more of a reason than ever...
Just days after our wedding, we were dealt some very unfortunate news. Stacie was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer which is a very aggressive form. This news has been a complete shock to us, our friends, family, and loved ones. We are in the very beginning stages of the process, but are slowly gaining a good understanding of how it will all work.

Although breast cancer runs in her family, this is something we could have never prepared for. There is nothing you can say or do to make it immediately better. No words can describe the pain of watching the person you love the most endure such an uncontrollable situation. But, we are staying extremely positive and optimistic. I am so incredibly proud of Stacie for being as strong as she has been thus far. The support and love we have been receiving is unwavering. Our hearts are full, and this is exactly what we need to help us through the unknown.

We will be posting many updates as we take cancer head on. In a couple weeks, chemotherapy will begin, and we ask that you keep Stacie in your thoughts and prayers. We welcome all encouraging messages from everyone. We are trying to answer and respond as quickly as possible, so please forgive us if we do not get back to you right away.

There is no doubt in my mind that we won't beat the hell out of this! Thank you for all your love and support. We love and cherish you all!
