Stacie Parker

Hi, my name is Connie Rabon, and I am a colleague and friend of James Parker. As most of you know James recently lost his beautiful wife Stacie after a brief illness. Stacie had not felt well for a short period of time, and when she sought medical treatment ,was found to have an aggressive form of leukemia. During the first week of treatment, Stacie suffered a massive intracranial hemorrhage. Leukemia causes low platelet counts, which are necessary for blood clotting. This is what caued the bleeding and surgeons were unable to operate. The bleed left Stacie with no electrical activity in her brain and James and his two beautiful children, Ashlynn, 15 and Silas, 10 made the heart wrenching decision to honor Stacie’s wishes and remove the ventilatory support keeping her body alive. As James, so lovingly stated, Stacie gained her wings at 11:27 AM on Friday, August 11.

Prior to this tragedy, the family also lost their homes in a tragic fire last fall. They are still displaced and living in a rental while their home is being rebuilt.

I’ve created this go fund me to help James offset funeral costs. Any leftover monies will go towards any unpaid medical costs and their children to assist with their needs in the coming months and years. Any and all contributions are so welcome. James thanks each and everyone of you from the bottom of his heart and reminds you to love your people like it’s their last day on earth.
