Stacey Nicholls survival story

This page I'm setting up for Stacey Nicholls on her behalf. Stacey isn't the type of person to ask people for help but I was hoping to show Stacey that it's ok to ask for help and that there are people that would love to help her out.
Stacey was dealt a really bad hand in life and this started at only 9 years of age when she was diagnosed with Nephrotic syndrome. This seen Stacey in and out of hospital being poked and prodded. Stacey was put on some many diffrent medications to try and treat her condition which sometimes worked and other times just made her worse. Stacey didn't let this stop her working hard and still having a smile on her face.
Then in 2013 Stacey went into kidney failure and while waiting on a transplant list had to start on dialysis. Again even through this while feeling sick Stacey still worked hard and kept a smile on her face.
1st April 2014 Stacey underwent a kidney transplant. Stacey was up walking around only a couple of days after this procedure. Doctors sent her home after a week in hospital and told her to rest up. They also told her that most people take about 5 - 6 months of work to rest and start feeling better but not Stacey, she was back to working full - time doing long hours and not taking a break just 6 weeks after her transplant. Stacey was determined not to let her condition control her life and stop her being normal. Stacey would come home from work exhausted and drained sometimes even feeling sick but she still wouldn't give in. Things for a while started looking up were she seemed to be going ok. Stacey had a few ups and downs but levels weren't to bad.
Then again another bad hand. The kidney started to fail in September 2016. Stacey became very sick very quickly and had many stays in hospital. In November Stacey had no choice she had to stop work.
Stacey started plasma exchange on 1st December 2016 3x a week at Royal Perth hospital. These treatments took the whole day to do ( what a life to be living).
from the time of the kidney going into failure Stacey ended up with sepetacemia 3 times from December 2016 to February 2017. Also numerous hospital admissions for other complications that would see her in hospital anywhere from 3 nights to 2 weeks at a time.
If that all wasn't bad enough bad enough Stacey then ended up with a blood clot in her lung in March 2017 which then collapsed her lung causing yet another blood clot this time in her heart.
Stacey had to undergo an emergency open heart surgery via heart & lung bypass on 18th April 2017. Without this surgery doctors said Stacey wouldn't have survived the week. After the surgery Stacey was put into a induced coma which they said she would be in for approximately 3 days but Stacey fought so hard and came out of the induced coma the next day. Doctors where  amazed ( this just shows Stacey's willpower to survive).
Stacey was in hospital for 2 weeks after the surgery. She was in lots of pain but still tried to stay positive and to smile as much as she could.
Now stacey is at home. She still needs to attend regular hospital appointments each week on top of 3 physio appointments each week at Fiona Stanley hospital. Stacey needs to have around the clock care as she is unable to put any pressure down on her hands or arms which means she can't even push herself up to get out of bed on her own.
This is one of the hardest parts for Stacey being so independent. Stacey also has no choice ( which she hates) she is unable to return back to work for a minimum of 6 months.
Yet still even through all this Stacey still doesn't think she is worthy of asking people for help. Stacey has had no income coming in since November 2016 so she has now gone through her savings buying all her medications she needs. Stacey has to take anti rejection drugs, heart medication plus much more.
Stacey has been in touch with Centrelink to see if she was intittled to any payments or even a Medicare card to help reduce the cost of her medications but NO she isn't intittled to any help.
This money that we manage to raise for Stacey will be going towards the cost of her medications that she pays full cost for and without them Stacey wouldn't be here with us. Also it will go towards the cost of parking at the hospital minimum of 3 times per week and also the cost of the fuel to get her there.
Please please get behind this incredible girl that is so strong and determined to not let this beat her. Let's show her that she is worthy of our help and that she has many people out there that care for her and that she can count on people to help her. Please don't leave Stacey feeling alone let's show her the love we have for her.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to read Stacey's story. Please donate to this cause and please share this on your Facebook pages so we can get as many people to see this.
Thank you again.
