Stacey's Family Support Fund

Donation protected

Every family is special, but some families are extraordinary. The Quackenbush family is a family of love and light to everyone they meet. Cherice Quackenbush is a stay at home mother to a medically fragile child. Stacey has Mitochondrial Disease, Dysautonomia with POTS, and has had a stroke. Her mother has been there every moment. Cherice is a nurse, thus she is qualified to care for her sweet “babygirl” and that is how Stacey prefers it. Tate Quackenbush married Cherice, adopted Stacey a few years ago, and their family became everything it was always was suppose to be.

On December 30, 2016, Stacey was hospitalized with RSV. Her health quickly declined and she was moved to the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) at Children's Hospital.
While in the PICU, Stacey has been diagnosed with RSV Pneumonia, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), and Sepsis. As Cherice has held vigilant at her side, Stacey's health has continued to decline. Tate continued to work as long as he could because when Stacey is admitted to the hospital, his income is the only income they receive. Unfortunately, Tate has needed to take an indefinite leave of absence from work due to Stacey's current medical status. This is a family that will not be separated during times of trials!

Cherice has been out of work since Stacey entered the hospital and Tate has taken off 1 week. Stacey will need to be in the hospital for at least another 4-6 weeks. If and when Stacey is out of critical condition, Tate will return to work and Cherice will stay with Stacey. Until then, there are bills and living expenses that must be covered. Tate and Cherice are sleeping on the sitting bench in the room with Stacey, ever vigilant at her side. While impatient, families must cover the cost of their meals, parking, lodging at the Ronald McDonald House, and any other miscellanies expenses. They must also continue to pay their rent, utilitiy bills, pet food (Stacey has a service animal that family is taking care of), etc. All monies collected will cover these expences and allow this family to soley focus on their "babygirl" getting better.

Stacey is nothing but light, laughter, and love. I say she gets it from her mother. My husband will say it is from her father. My daughter, Stacey's best friend, will say it is just who she is. Please wrap this family in support, as they are always the first ones to come along someone in need.

As of 2.5.17, at 11:00pm PST our precious Babygirl slipped from this earth into the arms of Jesus. She is no longer in pain or suffering. She is the best daughter anyone could have ever asked for. She is brave and strong and beautiful. She will forever be missed and loved by her daddy and I and our friends and family. All additional funds will be used to cover funeral arrangements and costs. Thank you for your continued support.
