Intro

As of early January, I have been accepted into Shayne Case's Under the Eagle's Wing Mentorship , a 9 month program for emerging healers, visionaries, and seekers. I was elated to hear this news as I have been desiring to return to a communal learning space of personal growth in the area of spirit, medicine & ancestral relations. Many of you may have come across my work with dream facilitation, embodied voice practices, herbalism & most recently through my six years as a land steward across the Mojave and Colorado deserts of California.

As I will be closing a chapter in Southern California & moving to New Mexico come June, I expect major financial shifts in preparation for this big transition. My hope with this fundraiser is for community to support my educational growth by helping cover program & travel costs so that I may study without the stress of financial burdens. About Me

My name is B Stacey Villalobos and I am a non-binary, queer femme of color with native and ancestral roots in Jalisco, México. As a bilingual cultural worker & interdisciplinary artist, I have been developing my practice in a rural area of the Mojave desert of Southern California since 2018, on the traditional lands of the Cahuilla & Serrano people. Over the past 10 years I have had the honor of working with youth & families of color as a community educator, co-facilitated a racial justice program for California desert conservation advocates and am now supporting relational healing & reconciliation efforts throughout Turtle Island.

Under the Eagle's Wing Mentorship

This mentorship program is an opportunity to dive deeper into spirit work & to understand the medicine I carry with a full heart through community support & peer accountability. I would love the ability to grow my practice in storytelling, performance & song while also expanding what it means for me to be a land steward through the integration of art and spirit.

What I am most excited about is that the mentorship will: "cultivate confidence and trust in ourselves and the medicine that we are here to share."

Every time I think of this mentorship my heart soars and I catch myself smiling! I truly believe that being a member of this year's cohort will provide me with an anchor to stay grounded amidst so much change & that it will provide a generative container for the spiritual work I would like to grow into. This experience & the teachings I will undertake will only ripple out to other areas of my life in order to best serve the constellation of communities I am involved with. Costs + Timeline

The funds raised from this platform will be used to cover my 12 month payment plan + my flights to and from Portland, OR. Although the mentorship runs for nine months, only seven of those months require an in person session to sit in ceremony with the rest of the cohort. Please note that all payment plans offered have a 5% interest fee, thus why instead of paying $4500, my total cost is $4725.

Mentorship Program: $4,725

Presently, I am on a 12 month payment plan that requires I pay $393.75 every month. The month of January has already been paid for to secure my spot moving forward.

Travel - Flights & Lodging: $1750

I am currently living in Morongo Valley, CA and will be moving to Albuquerque, NM by June and am estimating roundtrip flight plans to be anywhere from $200-250 depending on the season and how early I can book each one. Fortunately, due to having lived in Portland for almost eight years I have a handful of friends and community members who are generously offering me a room while I am in the area for the program's monthly Saturday sessions! This means I do not have to account for lodging, thank you sweet friends <3
