Stacey Schmetzer Dober and Family Recovery Fund
In our chaotic world right now most of us are
seeking shelter and comfort in our homes.
Unfortunately this is not the situation for my
beautiful friend Stacey Schmetzer Dober and her
family.
Stacey and her children started to move into their new home one week ago in Port St. Lucie.
On Friday, March 13 th, the home experienced a
devastating fire.
Luckily none of the family members were home
with the exception of their brand new puppy which they tragically lost.
The fire destroyed all their treasured memories
and their daily essentials. Anything that was not
directly burned was lost to smoke and water
damage. The family has been left with only the
clothes and belongings they carried with them on
that awful day.
Stacey Schmetzer Dober is a proud mother of four incredible children, Chelsea, Ricky, Carlee and
Jake. She is an adoring “Mimi” to her three
grand-babies, Carter, Cameron and Callie.
She is a health care provider and I am proud to say a West Islip Alumni and my most cherished friend of thirty plus years.
As in the case with most of us, it is very difficult
for Stacey to accept gifts and donations.
She is typically the person that “steps up” and
gives care to others in need.
Many people have surfaced to question how to
help Stacey and the kids. Considering Stacey has
touched so many lives in many states, this is the
best, most convenient choice to make.
Please keep her in your prayers and heart.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated for my
beautiful friend and her children during this time
of recovery and healing.
