Stacey 's Pancreatic Cancer Journey

Update: We thank everyone for your donations as Stacey fought hard to overcome this awful disease. Unfortunately, she lost her battle on Sunday, April 13 at 3:28am. Her family was by her side during her peaceful transition and they are devastated by her absence. I am asking you to find it in your heart to support the family with trying to put her to rest. There are costs associated with this next process, along with existing medical bills, that can be overwhelming financially as well as emotionally.

For all that knew her, knew she was a giver and what a tribute to her it would be to give to her family in their time of need.

Our dearest friend, our Chosen Sister, has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. As you can imagine, her and her husband, her family and friends are all devastated. Stacey Mead and her husband David are 2 of the most loving, accepting, giving people I have ever met. Everyone they meet becomes a part of their family and they will go without as long as their loved ones they cherish so much do not go without.

Because of her diagnosis, pain, upcoming intensive treatment plan, she is not able to continue working. David has taken on extra hours at work, and because of his ongoing medical issues, this has made it difficult for him.

The medical bills are already piling up and they are already seeing just how difficult this will be at every angle. The stress of that alone will make this healing journey that much more difficult.

Once she is done with Chemo, they will check to see where the tumor is and depending on that, she will either go straight to surgery to get it out, or go through radiation to reduce its size so she can endure the surgery to remove it. GET THIS CANCER OUT! This will be a huge surgery and will take a long time to recover from.

I know this is going to be huge emotional, physical, and financial toll on Stacey and David.

I am asking everyone and anyone to find it in your heart to help our Chosen Family with ANYTHING you can donate. If you were ever fortunate enough to be loved by them, you would know just how easy it would be to give them the world!
