It's time to make new music. The songs are written, the team assembled! Unfortunately I'm absolutely broke sitting on a mountain of songs I desperately want to get out into the world but don't have the means to. I'm bursting with energy and I really need your help.

I released my first solo EP back in 2017 with funding from well-known Nottingham Label ‘I’m Not from London’.

Following on from the above I have gone on to tour the UK and Europe as well feature at several UK festivals and on radio. I have also been asked to support well established artists such as BBC folk award winners Lankum and Jools Holland guest Scott Matthews, just a couple of names one shamelessly drops in an industry riddled with name dropping.
Since then I have been joined by phenomenal Bassist and Producer Russ Clark as well as Drummer extraordinaire Richard Grindon. As a band we have another year of festivals and gig dates lined up. New songs are now being recorded but I need help getting them over the line. With all this in mind I want to make something bigger and I need your help!
So What’s The Problem?
I’m broke. An unfortunate accident last year required me to take out a substantial loan which has left me with some hefty repayments which makes it hard to save. In short I feel like i'm stagnating, I have perhaps 3 EP's worth of songs but no money to do them! Travelling the music circuit also means I work part time. It’s an industry with little pay often operating at a loss. I’m no special case, this is the plight of many musicians and self-funding is the norm now as things become ever more commercial, monopolised and funding for grass roots music dries up in this age of blind consumerism and instant gratification.
Yes I feel daft asking for money, especially in a world where there are literally hundreds of other more worthwhile and far nobler things you could be giving your money to rather than an individual with delusions of grandeur (not to mention all the other great struggling musicians I have come to know).
However with my mission in mind I recall the words of the great folk singer Christy Moore who said....
“you have to do music because you love doing it, if you do it with a view towards commercial success you will never make it, but if you do it because you love it then maybe, if you’re very lucky, you might just have commercial success”.
That is my philosophy here. I love making music. It doesn’t matter if this project results in commercial success or notoriety. The point is the journey rather than the destination.
Costs
Costs include – Recording, Mastering, Video Production, Distribution, CD pressing, Design, Promotion and PR as well as paying other musicians for their time here and there.
Any help is welcome even if I don’t reach my goal. If I can get 2000 I’ll be jumping for joy and can be certain the rewards can be delivered, if i get £500 its 500 more than I had yesterday.
So there it is folks, a bold ambition but for me it’s now or never. If you can give us a hand I can only hope to create something that will move you and be of real substance in this hard confusing world where music is one of the ultimate universal comforts.

Option 8 - £200 - All of the above + Solo concert in your home (rest of UK, though we can do some negotiating here depending where!)
Option 9 - £600 - All of the above + Solo Concert in Your Home (Europe)
Option 10 - £400 - All of the above + Full Band Concert (UK – Details will need to be discussed, Venue hire potentially arranged separately by yourself)
Option 11 - £800 - All of the above + Full Band Concert (EU – Details will need to be discussed, Venue hire potentially arranged separately)
Option 12 - £2000 - All of the above + Fullband/Solo Concert (Anywhere in the world – Details to be discussed, venue determined and arranged by yourself)
