Stacey Matson

On May 21st, we found out that our beautiful friend Stacey Matson had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Although we still have a lot to learn about her diagnosis and treatment plan, we do know that Stacey has a tough fight ahead. We want to make sure she knows that she doesn't have to fight alone!

She is currently scheduled for her 2nd surgery on June 21st. She has already faced one surgery during which they removed a tumor from her breast for biopsy. Sadly, further testing showed that there is cancer in the surrounding tissue as well. On the 21st, they will remove that tissue and test the surrounding lymph nodes. If necessary those will also be removed. The current plan is to follow surgery with radiation treatments.

The emotional and financial burden of surviving breast cancer can be an overwhelming challenge. To complicate their situation, Stacey and her husband Matt are uninsured.

We are reaching out to all of you that know and love Stacey, Matt, and their sons Tanner and Jaret. And to all of you who know the fight that cancer brings. Help us show them that they do not have to fight alone!!
