Stacey is someone who always loves. Her kind heart and infectious laugh is contagious. You can't help but love her instantly. She embraces everyone she meets. With Stacey, you don't have to be blood, because you're already family. She always has time for you, she always makes you feel (or rather reminds you) that you are special, important, valid, and loved. Stacey is the bonus family member that we've all been blessed to cross paths with.
On 9/13/2019, Stacey and her husband Keith were in their car, when they were struck by a car. This resulted in a multi-car accident, and severe injuries for Stacey. We praise God that she is stable with a positive prognosis, and that Keith walked away from the accident with bumps and bruises. The accident resulted in Stacey experiencing a traumatic brain injury. She immediately received brain surgery to reduce the swelling and repair the extensive damage and fractures to her skull. The surgery was successful, however Stacey may lose sight in her left eye. There are still factors that are unknown.
As this is unpredictable, here is what we do know: Stacey will need time in the hospital to improve, but that won't be the end of it. She'll require time to rehabilitate and recover, even after hospitalization is over. The full extent of injuries and damage isn't known yet. Hospitalizations and recovery take time, patience, and can cause individuals serious financial strains.
Stacey would never ask for this, and I think that's what makes the decision to make a GoFund Me even easier. Over the next few days and months, Stacey and Keith will have enough on their plate in regards to recovery. One way that you can help, is to alleviate some of the financial strains that come alongside a serious car accident and resulting injuries. If you can give $1 or if you can give more, that's one less dollar they'll have to worry and stress over. Any contribution is appreciated, and no contribution is too small.
We understand that everyone may not be in a place to give financially, and ask that if that's you, if you would give in prayer. Prayer for Stacey's recovery, specifically:
-Improvement in grasp and the ability to wiggle her toes.
-That she will be able to clearly say something.
-That the swelling on her body would continue to decrease.
As well as prayers for her husband, Keith. Prayers for Stacey's children, siblings, and father, as they continue to support her while also process their own emotional battle. Prayers for the doctor's and Stacey's medical team, as well.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything in according to his will, he hears us. - 1 John 5:14
