Stable Housing for Kim Dismore & Family

Donation protected

(Pensacola, FL)

My coworker, Ms. Kim Dismore & her family,  have been homeless due to eviction since February 2020. Ms. Kim is undoubtedly one of my favorite people in this world. She is kind, compassionate, loving in a very maternal way, & hilarious. I have known her since August 2018 & every day that i get to work with her is a brighter day for me. Very quickly Ms. Kim became a Mom to me.

Ms. Kim is a single mother of 2 children. Their names are Nathan & Krystal. Their father passed away a few years ago. Nathan helps his mother as much as he can but due to learning disabilities Krystal can not help the family with money. Ms. Kim has numerous health problems including COPD, Congestive Heart Failure, & surviving multiple heart attacks/strokes. With these health problems Ms. Kim has she should definitely not be working during a pandemic but has no choice since her family is already homeless. Despite her health problems she still does not qualify for disability.

Ms. Kim and I both work at KFC..meaning her paychecks cannot cover rent/utilities along with other necessities for her & her family. Due to her homelessness and health problems it is more difficult for her to find a better paying job. She still comes to work everyday that she is scheduled . Even when she doesn’t feel good. Due to not being able to keep up with mortgage payments they were evicted from their home earlier this year. After using what little aid is offered to her & her paychecks to survive in motel rooms her and her sons accounts are overdrawn at this point. They have done everything they can to not have to try to fit in their truck to sleep. Ms. Kim’s family is struggling for stable housing. A thing that every human being should have. I see no reason why a woman who comes to work everyday should be homeless worrying about if she will ever have a kitchen to cook meals for her family again. Ms. Kim is one of the most hard working people i know despite all the obstacles life throws at her. I don’t love Ms. Kim Like she is my family. I love her because she IS my family. I’ve been helping her in all the ways that i can. if i could buy her a house i would but this is a fight that’s bigger than me so i’m asking for help to get Ms. Kim’s family into a HOME! So obviously the goal is a home but any little bit helps. Help isn’t limited to financial help, if you could please just share Ms. Kim’s story so more people can see.
