Update 8/8:

It's now been 2 weeks and still no contact despite multiple attempts. I've officially stopped trying.

The situation was worse than I initially thought as it became apparent that certain bills he was primarily responsible were months behind. I've been able to transfer all crucial bills into my own name so there are no more surprises and we are caught up but not ahead. With your help, I've been able to maintain stability for Nico in the way of routines and schedules. He is doing well, considering.

I've got this. We've got this. We can breathe a little easier and are looking forward to this next chapter free from secrets, lies, and the manipulative/controlling behavior that turned our whole world upside down. We love you all. Thanks for loving us back.

Update: I am continually overwhelmed by the community of support and extended family we have. Thank you thank you thank you for holding us up above water while we find our rhythm. The situation evolves faster than I can keep up with and it means so much to me to be able to focus on providing the psychological and emotional support the boys need. We love you.

My partner of 6+ years and father of my child has essentially disappeared following an affair he was caught having. He's withholding all contact, including contact with and regarding his child.

We both contributed equally to our finances and now I am left with the entirety of our family's financial responsibilities on a moments notice. Basically, my monthly bills have doubled with no time to plan for it.

Given time to adequately plan, I am more than able to provide for my family alone. I just need a little buffer to get there due to the added costs of court filings, childcare emergencies, therapy for the children, etc.

Please help get us through August so we can emerge from this heartbreaking situation stronger than ever.
