Help a Struggling Mother of 4 Rebuild Her Life After Losing Everything

Hello everyone,

My name is Samantha Moore and today I’m asking for help during the most heartbreaking and overwhelming moment of my dear friend's life. She is a mother of four children, recently divorced, and trying to rebuild after losing nearly everything.

During her divorce, her ex-husband stole her mail to ensure that she didn’t make it to all of the court proceedings. She and her husband purchased their home together in 2015, but by the time she made it to what she thought was her first court date, she then found out that it was actually the 5th hearing and that she already appeared negligent to the court. The hearing went to trial, and ultimately the judge never gave Ms. Paul even a chance to speak. Ultimately, her ex-husband was awarded their home and most of her belongings. Her husband quickly changed the locks and put most of her belongings into storage and never told her until the unit was auctioned off, leaving her with nothing. As a result, she has been left without stable housing and is now homeless, trying to care for her two youngest children on her own because her other two children are now adults with their own struggles. The youngest child is autistic and nonverbal and requires constant attention, stability, and special care.

She has been doing everything she can by herself, but the reality is devastating.

Right now, she is struggling to provide:

• A safe and stable place for her and her children to sleep

• Food and basic necessities

• Transportation for medical appointments and daily needs

• Support and consistency for her autistic child

I never imagined having to ask strangers for help, but my dear friend is fighting with everything she has to keep her children safe and together. However, despite her efforts in this cold world we live in, there aren’t many resources available for this family. This GoFundMe will help them secure temporary housing, cover essentials, and give her family a chance to breathe and enjoy the Christmas holiday while working toward long-term stability.
