About the Project:
Hello! We are Cody Lindley and Nate Hall, the writers and lyricists of Stabbed In The Heart. Stabbed is a new slasher musical that's Scream meets Spring Awakening!
Update: We've got a second concert reading at Redline VR, October 28th, 2023 at 2:30pm! We'll again have the backing of a live band, minimal blocking, and, this time, a surprise announcement and BIG update! Trust us, you'll want to be there!
We've been writing this musical for the last 6 years. It's undergone numerous rewrites and staged readings as we have honed more in on our vision of what this show is. And now the show is finished!
We're seeking funding to put on a fully realized production in Chicago. Funding will go towards space rental, paying cast and crew, and other production costs.
Any little bit helps as we try to realize this goal and get our musical onstage for the first time!
The Plot:
Lia feels out of place when her college roommate, Trish, makes her tag along for a cabin weekend. Their fun-filled weekend becomes blood-soaked when Trish’s friends start to get slaughtered by someone in the group.
In this slasher dramedy about young love, toxic relationships, and the connections that last a lifetime, Lia faces a gaslighting killer and her own anxiety while trying to save her new friends.
