Greetings friends,

As I was joyously celebrating the third month of the 60th year of a wonderful life I unexpectedly found myself on a stretcher being rushed to the hospital. I had a stroke. I am grateful everyday that my work colleagues called 911 immediately which saved my life. I was lucky it was T.I.A. stroke, apparently the better of the two kinds of strokes to have.

With the love, support and prayers from my family, friends and work colleagues I am well on my way to a full recovery. I worked very hard with my team at Mount Sinai West to regain full use of my left arm and leg and continue to work with a physical therapist to get back to full strength. I’ve made some major life changes; exercising more, eating better, releasing stress and I quit smoking.

I’m lucky to have a great job that I love that provides very good insurance, but insurance didn’t cover all my costs. If you know me you understand that it is very difficult for me to ask for financial support but I still owe the hospital and physical therapy $7500, which at this moment in my life is a bit of a financial strain. Therefore I am turning to my friends and family for any monetary support you are able to help with.
