Heather's Ginger Army / Vida & Will

On Sat 18th July we'll be squeezing our middle aged bodies into wetsuits and swimming a mile in the Thames, yes, a whole mile in the UK's filthiest river, to raise money for our gorgeous red-headed friend Heather Leach who urgently needs our help.
Those of you who've met Heather will know what a superstar she is - kind, thoughtful, funny, loyal, beautiful, Northern (bit gobby) and full of love. She's been a huge part of our life over the years and the last girl standing (or line dancing) at many a party.
Tragically, in recent years, she's gone from being a dynamic lover of life to a virtually bed-ridden invalid. Heather is suffering from an unusual combination of chronic conditions and symptoms, some of which remain undiagnosed. We – her Ginger Army of family and friends – need to raise £100k to get Heather to world leading medical specialists that can understand her conditions and deliver the personalised treatment required.
If they can work out how to help Heather they might be able to help hundreds of others with the same terrrible syndrome. In spite of everything, Heather is still fighting. She's determined to get better and, in the future, help others in similar situations. So PLEASE enlist in the Ginger Army and help us raise the funds needed to get our flame-haired fighter the treatment she desperately needs before it’s too late.
