Donation protected
The Viewmont High School Bands (VHS) have two needs:
1. Funds to commission original music. For each of the past 5 years, the band has been privileged to commission original compositions from band composers. This gives students the opportunity to premier a new piece of music and allows them to meet and work with the composer in a workshop setting. This replaces the traditional spring band trip. This year’s commission will cost $7000.
2. Funds to purchase new instruments. The band is in need of new marimbas, tubas, bass clarinets, and french horns. The combined cost is over $43000. Nearly $7500 has already been raised through other fund raisers.
