Bobby I have been thinking long and hard about all the issues my family has that needs to be fixed. I am embarrassed and ashamed that my home has gotten to this point. I was always one on top of every thing and fixing it. I took great pride in my ability to fix things. A jack of all trades but a master of none. We prayed that one day we would be able to just replace the old mobile home with a newer one but with Marc getting hurt and put on disability that went out the window and my paycheck is no where near enough. I just do squeak by with paying the bills. My Aunt at one time wanted to enter us on that repair show  Extreme Home Improvement but I talked  her out of it. Foolish pride has gotten the best of me and my home.

Let me start off that the Fessenden Family has taken pride in taking  care of things as it has need to be done. The years have take it's toll on the home and our bodies. Marc and I are in our late 50's and neither of us are able to keep up any more.  Marc is disabled from an accident on the job back in 1989. So he is on disability SSI. In March of 2015 Marc suffered a stroke and is currently in a care facility to help him get back on his feet. He has been basically bed bound since. Since the stroke he has not eaten anything  that can substance him. He has had many set backs because every thing he tries to eat makes him very sick and he can not keep it down. He has been from Panama city hospitals to Pensacola, Destin, Fort Walton and back to Panama City. He has just had the feeding tube placed in his abdomen to start getting some valuable nutrition in hopes to helps him get better and to lesson the damage to his body and organs from the lack of food from March to August. He has lost a lot of weight but way too fast. He is going through therapy to get him to a point that he can  sit up and walk or at least be able to help get him into a wheel chair. So we can bring him back home.

We have my daughter and her 3 kids living with us. We have been helping her raise them the best we can.  Two boys ages 7 and 5 and one girl age 3. They are full of life and energy to spare. They are our reason to get up and keep going every day. We want to provide them with every thing they need.

We have taken in a friend who has personal problems that has left her homeless. We are helping her and she is a blessing in helping us with little things needed and watching the kids.

I have a job that I have been blessed with for 16 years now.  Even though I have a great job the pay is not enough to care for my home. I live like most folks do  paycheck to paycheck. About 13 years ago I had to have a total knee replacement that has rendered me from getting up on my roof to do minor repairs. SO in the last few years it has become weak and in great need of replacement or patch jobs that I can not afford or do my self. I rely on friends to come and cut my grass because my mowers have bit the dust. My wonderful neighbor gave me his old one so now I can cut it with a push mower,

About a month ago my well started to act up and we had to call for some one to fix it. My wonderful neighbor has let me hook up to a water hose in order to have water in my house to continue with our daily needs. We need a new pump.

Here Is a list of items my home is in great need of replacing or repairing.
1- Roof leaks  in several spots through the house.
2-Well needs new pump.
3-Ramp needs to be fixed for Marc to use
4-Need to fix doorway to be wheelchair accessible.
5-Kitchen sink is slanting and about to fall in. ( We have the cabinet just need counter top and installed)
6- Main bathroom tub needs to be replaced so Marc can bathe in it. It is currently being held together with duct tape. ( it is a fiber glass mobile home garden tub)
7 Bathroom faucets need to be installed ( have them for both bathrooms just unable to put them in. Also need a new shower faucet for kids bathroom.)
8- Windows and doors need to be weather sealed.
9- AC needs to be serviced. Back room AC duct tubing has fell off needs to be put back up.
10- A couple of soft spots in floor that need to be replaced.
11-Back porch is falling apart the flooring is still good just the walls and ceiling has rotten spots. ( we originally planned on it to be a laundry room but never had the funds to finish it.)

Thank all of you for your love, support and prayers. Like our sweet Dee Adams used to say. " I'm blessed by the best in spite of the mess" I live with that saying every day. In spite of it all I, am still blessed.
