St Vincent & the Grenadines La Soufrière Eruption
Donation protected

20,000 residents from the north of the island, have been evacuated, many are currently in shelters without water and are in desperate in need of assistance. According to current estimates, most evacuees are not expected to return to their homes for several months. The disaster is further complicated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and Dengue fever which are currently plaguing the tiny island, where approximately 30% of residents live in poverty.
Our family is part of the Canadian and American diaspora from the beautiful island of St Vincent and the Grenadines: We are committed to assisting our brothers and sisters in need; we will work tirelessly to support them during this challenging time.
Many overseas efforts are ongoing to bring much needed aid to the island, however it will take many weeks for help to get to those in need. We would like to offer more immediate help by teaming up with the Anglican Church and trusted members of the community on the ground in St-Vincent, to assist with the distribution of the relief items to shelters and to ensure equity and transparency of the process.
Your donations will go towards the purchase of much needed basic necessities such as water, non-perishable food items, clothing, respirators and KN95 masks, hand sanitizer, protective goggles, batteries, flashlights, personal hygiene products, baby and toddler supplies, mattresses, blankets, sheets, first aid kits and much more.
