We are a group of parents and teachers who’ve come together to form the St Peter’s Edgmond School and Nursery SEND Hub Committee — united by one goal: to make sure every child at our school feels safe, supported, and understood.
Right now, we’re facing a real and urgent challenge. When a child is overwhelmed, anxious, or experiencing a meltdown, there is no dedicated space for them to regulate, reset, and feel safe. They’re left trying to cope in busy classrooms or corridors — and that’s not okay.
This isn’t just about children with diagnosed needs, it'ss about every child. Emotional wellbeing affects learning, friendships, and confidence. We see it every day — children who just need a quiet moment, a safe space, a chance to breathe.
That’s why we’re fundraising for a purpose-built SEND Hub — a nurturing space designed to support emotional regulation, sensory needs, and inclusive learning.
️ What We’re Building
The SEND Hub will be a specialised unit, fitted with:
Sensory equipment to support emotional and physical regulation
Heating, air conditioning, and dimmable lighting to create a calming, adaptable environment
A layout designed to give children the time, tools, and space they need to regulate, refocus, and feel supported throughout the school day
Who We Are
We’re a volunteer-led committee — parents, teachers, and community members — working together because we care deeply about the children in our school. Every penny raised goes directly toward making this hub a reality.
How You Can Help
Whether it’s £5 or £50, your donation helps us build a space that could change a child’s entire school experience. A space where they can breathe, feel safe, and be themselves.
Thank you for considering our request — and for supporting projects that make a tangible difference in the lives of young people.
Let’s come together — for every child.
