Hi, my name’s Stuart and I am 51 years old. I’ve got a beautiful wife Georgina who I’ve known since we were teenagers and four amazing children.

unfortunately, like a bolt out of the blue I was diagnosed with Oesophageal Cancer back in 2023. I had a big operation to remove the tumour in Feb 2024 and got the all clear. Then in December 2024 it came back. I have been in chemotherapy for most of 2025 but in September was told that the chemotherapy wasn’t working.

By this time, I’d had two years of pain, one procedure after another and am now exhausted.

I have been given a terminal diagnosis of just a few months and was told it would be around Christmas 2025.

It’s been daunting but i have accepted it. I have decided that I will spend my last few days in St Peter’s & St James hospice which is an incredible place full of love and caring souls.

I’ve set up this gofundme to help support the wonderful work that they do.
