The Church Hall was gifted to the Community in 1982 and has been used and enjoyed by a myriad of users ever since. Sadly the roof and gutters have now deteriorated and we are suffering water ingress. The good news, we have found some excellent roofers to address both the roofing and gutters over the summer. The bad news we desperately need around £45,000 to pay to remedy the leaks. Over the next few months, the Church team will be hosting a number of events to raise funds, but if anyone can donate to our Go Fund Me page, we would really appreciate it.

Local Yoga, Slimming World, Coffee Morning, Recovery Support Groups along with our ‘Little Angels’ play group use the venue each week. Our local Amateur Dramatics (BAMADS) host at least two plays here each year and our Primary Aged Activity Church conduct their sessions the second Saturday of each month for fun, crafts, stories and songs for our younger villagers. Without funds, the building will be deemed unsafe and will be forced to close until we can afford the repairs. Anything you can do to support our fund-raising would be very much appreciated.

A Village Scarecrow Hunt planned in September, a joint Bingo and Beetle Drive is scheduled for October, and looking into starting a beginners Line Dancing session on a Friday evening. Our Family Fun Christmas Disco will be held at the end of November at the Burtonwood Community Centre. We expect to hold a Bake Sale along with our Christmas Fair, all recipes for your favourite ‘bake’ will be included in our Church Cook Book (and that includes Children’s recipes too!) The cakes will be judged and sold during the fair to raise further funds. A sponsored Fun Run/Walk-A-Thon between our five Churches is being explored, finishing with some well deserved refreshments!
