St. Mary's Young Adult Group Sponsors Scythian

Greetings!

As President of St. Mary of the Angels Young Adult Group, I'm excited to announce that the popular Celtic Rock band, Scythian, will be coming to Chicago at our invitation! The show will be on Sunday, March 5 at 6 pm at The Athenaeum Center and will feature Chicago's own The Great Whiskey Project as well as the Trinity School of Irish Dance.

Scythian is a dynamic and talented musical group that has been entertaining audiences all over the world with their unique blend of traditional Celtic, Balkan, and American roots music. Their high-energy shows are a feast for the ears, and we are confident that you will enjoy every moment of the concert.

Hosting Scythian represents a unique opportunity for music-lovers/Catholics in Chicago, but we’ll be leaning heavily on the support of the local Catholic community. The amount we need to raise to offset the cost of the bands is $9,000.

Would you be willing to make a gift to make the concert happen? No amount is too small, and every little bit helps.

St. Mary's Young Adult group is working with other Catholic young adult groups to promote this event such as Young Catholic Professionals, St. Edward, St. Alphonsus, and St. John Cantius. We will host Dan Fedoryka, of Scythian, for a virtual Q&A session for the young adults as he shares his story about uniting his faith and talent. Details to come!

The mission of St. Mary’s of the Angels Young Adult Group in Bucktown, Chicago is to invite young adults in their 20s and 30s to discover the truth, beauty, and goodness of the Catholic Church through social events and spiritual formation.
