St Mary’s Hospital 8th Floor Covid Doctors Mess

As we enter an unprecedented and extremely challenging period for St Mary’s Hospital, the preexisting surgical wards have to be requisitioned to house a number of COVID 19 positive patients. The junior doctors staffing these wards will be working extremely long shifts, with very few breaks and very little time off. To make life more comfortable a lecture/seminar room has been made available as a break out area for them to rest and recuperate before heading back to their shifts. However, the room is just that, a lecture room. We would like to furnish it with some things to make life more comfortable (fridge/freezer, microwave etc). It would also be great if we could provide a constant supply of food and drink for them. For those involved it will no doubt be a harrowing time, and this fund can also be used to support the team with counselling and expert support as required. Any money left over will be redistributed to either the hospital charity or COVID relevant charities, once the crisis is over. Thank you for your support!
