Currently our school has no surface suitable for our primary school girls to play sports on. The Parents’ Association has been fundraising since September 2024, with an overall target of €70,000, to provide a high-quality, all-weather pitch that can be used for football, camogie, soccer, hockey and physical education lessons. Our existing basketball court will also be retained and upgraded with new permanent hoops, and it will also be suitable for tennis. In addition, a running track will run around the entire sports area.

We are entering the final phase of fundraising for our exciting school project and with the incredible support of parents, pupils, past-pupils and members of the local community, we are now aiming to raise the final €15,000 by March 17th. With this support in place, work on the new sports area is scheduled to be completed over the Easter holidays this year.

Over the coming weeks, we will be running a range of fundraising activities, including sponsorship, fun in-school fundraisers involving the girls and their teachers, and of course our annual Readalong fundraiser.
