St. Luke’s Supports Mrs. Alejandra!
On Thursday, April 23rd, Alejandra Benitez and her husband Ronan celebrated their 10th Anniversary. Ronan had brought home a special dinner, chocolates and flowers for Alejandra. Several hours later, Ronan suffered a heart attack due to complications from diabetes and died.
Ronan, Alejandra, their daughter Alexa 10 and son Rowan 5 came to Seattle 4 years ago. Alejandra came to work at St.Luke's School at that time as the Assistant Teacher in Extension. She comes every morning at 6:45am, leaves at 8:30am and goes to Shoreline Community College where she has completed the college level ESL program and is now working on getting her teaching certificate. She then returns to afternoon Extension at 2:45 -6:00pm. In addition to her many duties at Extension, she started a Spanish Club.
Alejandra is a loved and immensely valuable member of the St. Luke Community. We would like to support her during the upcoming months with funds to cover her rent and daily living expenses as well as a small savings account that she would have available for next summer when we are not in school. Her husband was the primary bread winner during the months that she was not in school.
With this fund we are trying to cover the most important expenses for the summer months while she isn’t working.
1600 rent for 3 months ( June-August)
Car payment, utilities $400
Goal : 2,000 per month
Thank you for your love, prayers and support.
