Brockville ON - Our lively hub in the beautiful 1000 Islands Region, is adding a new thread to its cultural tapestry with the inaugural St. Lawrence Writers Festival - For readers and writers alike! being held in Downtown Brockville on September 5th, 6th and 7th, 2025.

And we need your help so we can ensure every author at the festival gets paid, and we can put on the best festival possible for everyone attending. Our guest of honour is Linwood Barclay! The festival will celebrate literature in every genre, connect writers with readers, and enrich the area's cultural scene while showcasing Canadian authors. It will feature readings, workshops and panel discussions but the fun won't end there! Special evening events are planned throughout the festival starting on Friday Sept 5 with Nightmare on the Narrows - an evening cruise with horror writers, followed up by Saturday evening's Write 'Em Up, a sure-to-please comedy show hosted at our very own Brockville Arts Centre.
