Students Exchange Trip To France
Donation protected
Dear Donor,
My name is Sophie Warin, I am a local French Teacher. I am reaching out to you with excitement and anticipation on behalf of my level 3 and 4 students as they embark on a unique and life-changing opportunity – a trip to France and a student exchange program in Bergerac.
Last Spring, families in St. Helena generously hosted French students and their teachers who spent a week at our High School. It was an amazing experience for the French and American students participating in the exchange. They learned from each other and created long lasting friendships.
This spring, my students are going to have the opportunity to be hosted by French families and go to school in Bergerac for a few days. This is a chance for students to immerse themselves in a new culture, broaden their horizons, and build lifelong connections with French students. For some of my students, it will be the first time getting on a plane, leaving the country and being away from home. They will see new places which will expand their horizons, and inspire them to want to study abroad or expand their career goals. They will benefit from experiencing another lifestyle and another school system.
Participating in this program comes with associated costs, including airfare, accommodations, meals, transportation, visits. We are diligently working towards raising the necessary funds with bake sales. Your contribution will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our fundraising goal. Eight students, myself (their teacher) and a chaperone are participating in this exchange. The airfare is $1,700 per person and on the ground costs per person for a week are $900. Will you help us meet our goal?
By contributing, you are helping to foster global connections, promote cultural exchange, and build bridges between our two communities.
Here's how you can make a difference:
Financial Contribution: Any amount, big or small, will make a significant impact and bring us one step closer to this enriching experience.
We genuinely appreciate your time and consideration. Thank you for being a part of my students’ journey and helping turn this dream into a reality. Together, we can make a lasting impact on their lives and contribute to the global community.
Warm regards,
Sophie Warin
