St. George Church Elkhader -Jifna

Hello Family and Friends,

My name is May Azar and I was born and raised in a village Called Jifna in Palestine.  This is the church that my family and many families in the village belong to and shared many memories there.  
On March 9th, 2017, St. George Orthodox Church in Jifna, Palestine was set on fire due to an electrical shortage. The structure still stands although the entire inside of the church was burnt and destroyed. This Church was the home where many of the people in Jifna went to pray and find comfort. Unfortunately, the community in Jifna does not have the funds to replace what was destroyed in the fire. We're hoping that if we unite as a community, we will be able to raise the funds needed to rebuild this great loss. We ask that our fellow family and friends each make a donation that they are comfortable with. Every donation counts! Together, we can make a difference! We appreciate you all and thank you in advance! The money that we will collect will be sent directly to the priest (Father George Awwad) of the St George Orthodox Church.  Once he received the fund, they will be allocated to the renovation of the church including the fixtures, alter, pews, icons, and the structure of the building etc.
