My name is Amanda Culbreath.  I am 17 years old and finishing up Junior year of high school. I have been invited to participate in the Saint Francis Xavier Mission to Peru from July 3-18. It is open to youth associated with the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter, which serves the parish I attend. In Peru we will be involved in a variety of missionary activities for the relief of the Peruvian poor. We will make food deliveries, assist at hospices and senior centers, visit orphanages and schools. We will also participate in house blessings, communion calls, and bringing the Latin Mass to various Pueblos.  The mission is a shining witness of God’s love in the world, and from everything I hear the missionaries in past years have been met with an overwhelming response from the people there. So I am very happy to have this opportunity to devote myself along with thirty-nine other young people for two full weeks to the service of Christ in the poor. As one of several fundraising efforts, I want to invite you to join me in this work of charity by donating to this GoFundMe. Right now the need is very urgent because I must raise $800 by March 1. After that I must raise $800 by April 1, and then $600 by May 1, for a total of $2,200. Please, even if all you are able to give is two dollars, I would be so grateful to you. This is God’s work, so nothing is too little or too big. I will be praying for all of you who donate.
