St Elmo Chief McKeever's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
On October 19, Josh McKeever (the Fire Chief of St Elmo-Irvington Volunteer Fire Department in Southwest Alabama) went into cardiac arrest during a trash fire call. Chief McKeever was on scene with two other firefighters and they quickly started CPR and used an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) to resuscitate him. He was in the hospital for 4 days and has since been released and will be out of work for a few weeks.

Josh McKeever has been the Chief of St Elmo-Irvington VFD for over 4 years and has served the community as a member of the department for much longer. Unfortunately, St Elmo-Irvington is one of the many departments in Mobile County that does not compensate the role of Chief for their time and dedication.

This GoFundMe is set up to help support Chief McKeever over the next few weeks. Please help if you can. He is a great man that has sacrificed a lot to help protect his community. Thank you!
