My name is Chris Pryce, I live in Toronto, Canada, with a roof over my family. Some of our extended family still live in the place of my birth, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, the epicenter of the Category 5 Hurricane that ripped through that poor tropical island. Most living in St. Elizabeth now face life without a roof, work and hope. The entire contents of their houses have been decimated and drenched. Property and hurricane insurance are rare things in Jamaica and are not universal. So rebuilding is not guaranteed. This fundraiser is initially to raise money to provide temporary roofing (tarp and tin) for initially 2 beneficiaries, for which I have video of their property damage and who are related to me. Ideally, we would raise enough to help 4 or 5 different people in St. Elizabeth. Images and pictures can be shared with those who donate. The plan right now is to limit disbursments to perhaps 4-5K CDN to each beneficiary. (5K CDN is 500K JMD - a small 12oz bottle of coke costs 200 JMD). The 1st beneficiary is John Palmer, and the 2nd is Elaine Pryce (she owns the house with Angela Webster, who is unfortunately mentally incapacitated at this time). GoFundMe rules require that the beneficiaries be different people from the fund creators. Because you are donating, you know me and know that my goal in our business is to help people and not to take advantage. No different on this platform. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ggGKUE8qmsgfSULW4UfF2qBorvulSSBH/view?usp=sharing
