St. Croix CHS Class of 1981 Education Scholarship
Donation protected
The St. Croix CHS Class of 1981 is giving back to the community by offering two (2) one thousand dollar scholarships to graduating seniors from the St. Croix CHS Class of 2021.
St. Croix CHS is located on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. CHS opened in 1967 as a successor to Christiansted High School which was established in 1935. In 1968, the school held its first graduation ceremony of which one hundred fifty seniors received their diplomas. Today, CHS has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 students in grades ninth through twelve with average annual graduates of over 200 students.
The purpose of this GoFundMe page is to fund the scholarships that will be awarded to well deserving students who have demonstrated academic excellence and a continuing commitment to improving their local community. These students are true survivors and have remained uniquely focused, even enduring several hurricanes and a global pandemic, during their high school years. They worked with family, friends and others to rebuild their community and still successfully completed their academic requirements. These students are extremely talented, resilient, and committed to continued self-improvement. We are confident they will be successful in their future endeavors whether it be in higher academia, vocational/technical school, or military service.
Previous recipients of the St. Croix CHS Class of 1981 Reunion Scholarships have made us proud as they chart their varied journeys. One is currently a fourth year student at the United States Naval Academy. Another graduated from Lincoln University and is currently pursuing medical school. Finally, one is boldly forging a dynamic fashion and modeling career.
We truly believe that an investment in our students is an investment in the future of our community! Your kind donation will make a difference in furthering the educational and professional development of these future leaders!
We gratefully thank you for your time and generosity.
