Help Us Celebrate 40 Years of Care: St Catherine’s Hospice Moonlight and Memories Walk!

This year, St Catherine’s Hospice in Lostock Hall, Preston, celebrates the 40th anniversary of its Moonlight and Memories Walk—a poignant evening walk that has touched countless lives. Our dear friend received exceptional care from St Catherine’s, and we are deeply grateful for the compassion and support provided during their time there.

On Saturday, 21st June 2025, we will join the community in walking to honour our friend and all those who have been cared for by this incredible hospice. The event offers a 6-mile or 8-mile route, both starting at 8 pm from the hospice grounds. Participants can enjoy entertainment, remembrance activities, and the opportunity to personalise event t-shirts in memory of loved ones.

Why We’re Walking

St Catherine’s Hospice is more than just a place—it’s a sanctuary where families find comfort, dignity, and support during life’s most challenging times. The care our friend received was nothing short of extraordinary, and we want to ensure that others continue to benefit from this invaluable service.

Funds raised will directly support the hospice’s specialist palliative and end-of-life care, as well as their bereavement support services. Last year, the event raised £73,000, enough to fund 365 bereavement support programmes for families in need.
