St. Andrews Dog Park Project - LET’S BUILD A PARK
Donation protected
Hello! The Saint Andrews Dog Park Committee is raising funds to build a dog park in our beautiful seaside town!
Dogs need safe outdoor places like dog parks to run, play, socialize. As a secondary benefit, dog parks also provide a place for like minded dog owners to get to know their neighbours and often learn things from one another. While we do have beaches,
this isn’t always the best option for all dogs who may follow their noses, or chase another animal too far. Many dogs need a fenced-in space to stay safe.
The dog park had been identified as a need in our pet-friendly community, and the project has been approved by Town Council. At present, our fundraising goal is $20,000 which would cover the Committee’s portion of the cost of build at the Harry-Mallory Sports Field, adjacent to the road, as proposed to Town Council. So far, approximately $13,000 has been raised. This $7000 goal would help us close that gap.
Costs being raised for include (but are not limited to): fencing, land preparation, and benches.
As the expression goes, a tired dog is a happy dog! So let’s pull together to make this park happen!
