On July 25, our brave little T-Rex was in a serious car accident with his Nana and his little dog, Shilo. Several good Samaritans stopped to help and stayed with him, offering comfort until emergency services arrived. T-Rex was life-flighted to UCDavis, where an incredible team of doctors and nurses from orthopedics, ENT, neurosurgery, and ER took over his care. Tragically, Nana and Shilo did not survive the accident.

Rex spent 5 days in the Pediatric ICU. He was on a ventilator for 4 days. Rex has a broken femur, broken tibia, facial fractures and lacerations, a skull fracture with a TBI, and some internal bleeding. On Day 6, Rex was moved out of the ICU and is making an incredible recovery. He still has a long road ahead of him, though.

Now that Rex is awake and starting to get better, his mom is able to get a better idea of what the next couple months will look like. Rex will be in the hospital for possibly up to a month. Lindsay is living at the hospital with him and can't work. She is a single mom and with her mom passing away is now a single income home.

We are asking loved ones to help with hospital bills, lost income, cost of staying away from home for a month and other expenses that may arise. Any little bit helps.
