Support Laura Skating

Hi, my name is Laura Brito Liu. I am 13 years old and I’ve been skating since I was 7. I train 5 to 6 times a week. When not able to afford an ice training, I do extra off-ice trainings at home.

I have won several competitions and I dream to win the national championship one day! And after that hopefully to go and perform on an international level. In 2023 I started competing after a 2-years break and in February 2024 I already made it to the KNSB selection podium in my category.

I had to stop because of a growth injury - it was a very tough period, as I was forced to stop doing what I love so much. I am so happy to be back now and I work really hard to catch up and improve as rapid as possible.

Figure skating is my passion, but it is very expensive and hard to afford for my parents despite of both of them working full time. Training lessons, summer ice, commuting to skate and international camps: to reach a higher level costs a lot of money.

I do need your support to be able to keep up with the extremely high costs of this individual and unique sport, in order to help me realizing my dream: becoming an international skating champ!
