Help Jamal’s family leave the war zone in Gaza

Hi, my name is Robyn, I am a British citizen living in the UK. I am fundraising on behalf of the family of my dear friend Jamal who has been displaced from his home in Rafah. Jamal and his 12 other family members are now living in one makeshift tent in catastrophic conditions.

Over the last 7 months, they have been struggling to survive, to find clean water and food, and they are suffering from malnutrition. They have been living in fear with the constant anxiety of being under heavy bombardment and the constant sound of drones. Jamal desperately wants to ensure the safety of his family. This fundraiser is to help them pay the price to evacuate to safety in Egypt. The situation is very difficult, they did not even want to make a go fund me because they are not used to asking people for help let alone begging for money, but this is their only option for survival and Jamal cannot see his family suffer like this any longer. Your donations will be what will save their life’s.

The funds raised will be used for the following:

Border crossing fees (USD $5000 per adult and USD $2500 per child under 16 years old)

Egyptian Visas

To help provide their basic daily needs (food, clean water, hygiene products)

Transportation cost for traveling to Egypt

Rent and food expenses while in Egypt

We will coordinate travel to Egypt through the Ya Hala office.

The funds are being sent to the Abu Hashem family via a known and trusted member of the family based here in the UK.
