Wisdom Chinaza Umejiego is a 25yrs old who recently came to Canada. He arrived Canada on August 14, 2025 via Toronto Airport on a student visa. Due to an airline strike, he experienced significant delays and was unable to reach his final destination Fort McMurray, until the early hours of August 24, 2025.

That same evening, he complained of severe chest pain and shortness of breath. He was taken by ambulance to the emergency department at Northern Lights Hospital. By the following day, he became unconscious and was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit, where he remains in critical condition.

He has since been extubated and recovering in the ICU.

Wisdom needs support to transition from the hospital to normal daily life. Financial support is needed to assist with housing, food, medication, post-icu rehabilitation and care.
